"Spread Your Wings and Fly Little Butterfly"

This was the message on the April 1st funeral program for Jayci Yaeger the little girl that died from cancer with a story that touched so many in our local community and across the globe. Read more

The family has set up a fund to help with the funeral and burial expenses where donations can be sent to: Jayci Yaeger Benefit Fund, C/O Guardians Inc.  1707 South 17th Street, Suite D, Lincoln NE 68502.

Local television news broadcasts have also indicated that funds are lacking for a proper headstone. If any racers, fans or motorsports enthusiast would like to help contribute to a fund to help pay for a headstone, the Motorplex extended family would like to make a group contribution to the Yaeger family to help with the purchase of a monument stone to remember the life of Jayci.

If you would like to make a contribution, please email the Nebraska Motorplex. Together we can help insure a monument is created to help remember Jayci's courage and the so many hearts she touched.

Midwest Racers Autograph Day was founded by Gary Dominguez in 2000 and started with just a handful of cars in attendance the first year.  Gary formed a committee the next year to help make the show bigger and better. Now, thanks to the hard work of our volunteer committee members, we average 100+ display vehicles and over 3,000 people attend the event each year

The future of the I-80 corridor region is underway. Your feedback is important!

The Nebraska Innovation Zone Commission (NIZC) has embarked on the first phase of a regional comprehensive plan for the six county Omaha and Lincoln metropolitan regions (Washington, Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Saunders and Lancaster Counties). This plan will formulate a targeted growth strategy for the region to guide development in a manner that promotes the best interests of the region and the entire State of Nebraska.

As part of the planning process, several topic specific focus groups shared their ideas for the future of the corridor. Topics included: agriculture, city interests, county interests, economic development, education, environmental protection, land interests, recreation, tourism and transportation. This survey will allow for additional input into the future of the region. (Unless otherwise specified, assume ‘area’ refers to the entire six county region.)

llllllll

A drag racing facility would be an important tourism destination and entertainment venue for the state of Nebraska along this corridor. This type of facility would add greatly to the existing attractions between Lincoln and Omaha which will promote new opportunities for business and economic growth.

Please take a moment to complete this survey. Your input is very important for the development and planning on building a Drag Racing facility along the I-80 corridor.
